Super Easy Cherry Hand Pies

Ingredients

Refrigerated pie crust
1 can cherry pie filling
1 egg
1 Tablespoon of water

Directions

  • Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • Thaw your pie crust according to package directions, and roll it out on your counter.
  • Use a cookie cutter, cup, or glass to cut out circles in the dough.  (I recommend the circles be at least 4 inches in diamter.
  • Put about a teaspoon of filling on one half of one of your circles.  Fold the dough over and crimp the edges with a fork.  Alternatively, you can top one circle with another instead of folding one circle in half for a bigger pie.
  • In a bowl, beat egg with water.  Brush egg wash onto the pies.
  • Bake for about 12 minutes or until they are golden brown.

Make sure you let them cool a bit before you eat them, because that filling will be hot!
