Concerts you need to see this summer

It’s going to be a great summer for music fans this year!  For the first time in several years many tours are going back on the road, and several of them are playing in our region.

I’ve selected some of what I consider to be the best shows coming up across all genres, but, of course, your musical tastes may be completely different.  So, by all means, check with your faves to see if they will be close by.

Whether you like a stadium full of folks or a small, intimate venue, I think you’re in luck this year.

Performers and entertainment have not been announce yet, but keep an eye on it.  With over 3 weeks worth of fun, a grandstand stage and a free music stage, you can’t go wrong.

The Devon Lakeshore Amphitheater

Decatur, IL

This venue features live performances by a variety of acts all summer including Skid Row & Warrant, Brothers Osborne, Sonic Slam 2022, Cheap Trick, Gary Allan, Tracy Lawrence and more.

It’s one of the newer venues in our area and is quickly becoming a must-see destination for music lovers all over the Midwest.  This summer’s schedule is oustanding and promises something for any musical taste.

Illinois State Fair

Sam Hunt, Demi Lovato, Brooks & Dunn, TLC, and Sammy Hagar have all been announced, but there is more to come!  The Illinois State Fair is always a hot time – in more ways than one.  I have so many memories of this event over the years.  Pick a day, pack up the family, and go!
